As I've been "preping" a course in ethics and critical thinking I've been considering the use of software to help layout arguments, and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experience with them. Douglas Walton points to two programs in the first chapter of Argumentation Schemes.

The URL’s as entered do not seem to work, at least from my end.
The first one can be parsed out directly as:
http://araucaria.computing.dundee.ac.uk
But I’m not sure where the Rationale link is ultimately supposed to be pointing.

Hi Colin,
I use have only used araucaria, and it is great because it is free and it does what it advertises.
Can I ask, in what ways have you used it, Lee?
I’ve used rationale. I thought it was very good. Also, Tim van Gelder is great and offers good support. His “critical thinking on the web” is a great site too.
