Presidential Security<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>My hypothesis is this: given any opponent O\u00c2\u00a0to your view p, your first reaction is to claim that O is inconsistent with regard to p.\u00c2\u00a0 So, take Obama, whose first initial happens to be O.\u00c2\u00a0 He&#8217;s against arming school teachers and janitors.\u00c2\u00a0 The National Rifle Association naturally finds this absurd, and, of course, hypocritical.\u00c2\u00a0 In a recent commerical, <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/justice\/2013\/01\/16\/1454571\/nra-targets-obamas-kids-in-new-attack-ad\/\">which you can see at this link<\/a>, they argue:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Are the president\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s kids more important than yours?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d the narrator of the group\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 35-second video asks. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools when his kids are protected by armed guards at their school?
