{"id":3938,"date":"2012-12-30T11:57:57","date_gmt":"2012-12-30T16:57:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thenonsequitur.com\/?p=3938"},"modified":"2012-12-30T12:00:12","modified_gmt":"2012-12-30T17:00:12","slug":"chilean-women-to-marry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenonsequitur.com\/?p=3938","title":{"rendered":"Chilean women to marry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s the possibility that gay marriage might be legal in Illinois.\u00c2\u00a0 This means we are subject to arguments such as the ones discussed in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\/news\/religion\/ct-met-gay-marriage-natural-law-20121230,0,7173417.story\">this article<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a snippet of the argument:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<strong>Marriage comes to us from nature<\/strong>,&#8221; Chicago&#8217;s Cardinal Francis George said in a recent interview. &#8220;That&#8217;s based on the complementarity of the two sexes in such a way that the love of a man and a woman joined in a marital union is open to life, and that&#8217;s how families are created and society goes along. \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 It&#8217;s not in our doctrine.
